General Information ~
We bring everything needed to offer ultimate comfort during your
appointment including a massage table, table warmer, fresh linens,
bolsters and body pillows (for Pre-natal Massage) and massage oils for
the scheduled treatment.
Before scheduling your appointment you should consider an area in your
home that will accommodate at least a 5'x7' space. We prefer to work
on a lower level floor in your home if possible because we are only
able to carry our supplies and massage table up one flight of stairs.
Please consider where we will be able to park for at least two hours
(for a one-hour appointment) without disturbing any other household
members so that your session will be uninterrupted to ensure complete
relaxation.
If you are scheduling (2) one-hour appointments the same day please
block out three hours of time. This allows for set-up, each massage,
changing linens between clients and break-down without rushing.
Background music is
an important component for your session to offer
complete relaxation and will be according to your taste. We bring
an iPod to your home.
A sample of the music we have is listed below, but please consider what
will allow to you to relax during your appointment. Its your massage
and we want you to be completely relaxed!
Hours ~ We begin taking appointments at 10:00pm and schedule our last appointment at 9:00pm, but please call us to discuss other appointment times.
Advance notice for scheduling is appreciated for all appointments.
Weekends are the busiest time for us (particularly Friday and Sunday
evenings) so advance scheduling will ensure that you will be able to
have your desired appointment day and time.
Appointments ~
We can only accept the scheduling, changing and cancellations by direct
telephone contact. This ensures that there is no lost communication for
either party. Please note that we never do business via text messaging
because it does not convey the person to person nature of this
therapeutic business.
Cancellations ~ 12-hour cancellation notice is required but 24-hour notice is always appreciated.
Because we are a small business and have limited resources, giving us
enough notice to cancel your appointment allows us the
opportunity to offer the time slot to another client. If a cancellation
is received immediately before your scheduled appointment time we will
be unable to fill the time slot leaving other clients without
appointments and us without clients. We do, however, understand that
emergencies happen and we try to be sympathetic to life's unpredictable
nuances. Unfortunately, if last minute cancellations happen more than
two times, we will no longer be able to schedule appointments with you
so we can continue to run a well organized business.
Payment information ~
We accept cash, checks and credit cards (Visa & MasterCard through
PayPal invoicing) as methods of payment. If you are paying by credit
card we need to process the payment before the appointment. We will be
able to provide a receipt for services upon request.
Gift Certificates ~ We offer gift certificates based on the current rate for the amount of time you would like to purchase. Please note
that we are unable to offer refunds on unused certificates, which
follows all other businesses that offer gift certificates. We encourage
you to pursue the issue with whomever you gave the certificate to
because we would like them to schedule an appointment! Gift
certificates are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
Insurance coverage ~ Some
health insurance companies will cover massage therapy services. We are
recommending that all of our clients check with their provider. You
will need to pay us for the services and we will give you a receipt for
you to forward to your provider. We will be gald to go over the process
with you if you have any questions.
** IMPORTANT:
During flu and cold season we like to inform all clients that we prefer
not to schedule or keep an appointment if you are ill. In most cases,
you will not enjoy your appointment and will feel much worse the
following day.
Under these circumstances we will accept a cancellation that is less
than 12 hours notice and we can reschedule at a later date when you
will enjoy your massage.
